Youth Exercise Safely (YES)
Today more of our youth are out of shape. Why? The simplest answer is that they are less active and have poor dietary habits. In an effort to correct this problem, the Alex Guerry Center has developed a program for youth to exercise in a safe and supervised environment.
YES has been designed using child exercise guidelines and recommendations from the American College of Sports Medicine. YES is a program to help supplement the physical education programs in Chattanooga's local schools. Twice a week children from the ages of 8-16 will be instructed by our qualified staff for an hour long total wellness program. YES will teach students how a healthy life-style is possible through exercise, proper nutrition, and self-esteem building lessons. More info...
Sports Barn Kids
Our main focus at Sports Barn Kids is to improve your child's motor skills. Designed for ages 18 months-4 years, Sports Barn Kids will use standing and running tumbling in an effort to teach the children coordination, balance and conditioning. Fun games are also used to develop listening skills, cooperation and self-confidence within a group.
The equipment used for Sports Barn Kids was purchased strictly for use with this program. Our staff is highly trained and well versed in working with small children and helping them develop necessary skills in preparing to start school. Start your toddler in the program today! More info...
